# Pricing and credits

> Autype uses a credit-based system for AI features and API rendering. Choose a plan that fits your usage, and buy additional credits anytime.

Autype uses a **credit-based system** for AI features and API rendering. Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets each billing cycle. You can purchase additional credits on Pro and Team plans.

## What costs credits?

Credits are consumed by AI features and API rendering operations. Writing, editing, and exporting from the editor UI are **free and unlimited**.

### Credit costs per operation

## Additional credits

Need more credits than your plan includes? Purchase credit packs anytime:

That's €0.02 per credit. Buy as many packs as you need. Purchased credits **do not expire** as long as your subscription is active. They are consumed after your monthly allowance is used up.

## What's free?

The following features are **included in every plan** and do not consume credits:

* Writing and editing in the editor
* Version history and snapshots
* Comments
* All export formats (PDF, DOCX, ODT) from the editor UI
* Citations, cross-references, and automatic indices
* Charts, QR codes, and embedded visualizations
* Variables and dynamic content
* Reusable style presets
* Unlimited storage (fair use)

## API rate limits

API requests are rate-limited to **100 requests per minute** per API key. Bulk jobs can contain up to **100 items** per job.

## Billing

* Payments are processed via **Stripe**
* All prices are in **EUR**
* Invoices are available in the Stripe customer portal
* You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your workspace settings
